One - The Cavalier -this painting was done in 1901 for the book by George w. Cable , a civil war era romance of sorts set in the south, nice read. You can find the book print as page 27. This painting in frame measures 37 1/2 by 49 1/2 inches , the visible portion of the painting itself being approx 25 x 37. Painting is a masterpiece done in Gouache /watercolor,on board, a national treasure as far as I'm concerned . I had it professionally framed many years ago from it's original old frame ,and it is under photo glass ,in exceptional condition.
Two- My second painting is a Christy lady done in 1934, a remarkable pastel on paper . Framed size is 26 1/2 by 32 1/2 , actual visible painting approx 17 by 23 1/2 . also in perfect condition . While i am a Christy collector for some 30 years , I have not actually made an attempt to identify the actual portrait figure . She is the quintessential Christy Girl .
I will entertain offers individually as well .
I trust you would understand the pretty three tier modern light in the Cavalier painting is my den light reflection .
I have a vast Christy collection of original prints, books ,and memorabilia of diverse genre should someone have a genuine interest
